Injury-aware workouts
A workout app that plans around your joints.
Tell Lvl Up which joint to protect and the exercises that load it are taken out of your plan. Here is exactly what that means, and what it does not.
Short answer
Lvl Up lets you report a shoulder, wrist, knee or lower-back limitation. Exercises that load that joint are removed from your plan, your swaps and your single-muscle sessions, and an exercise whose joint loading is unknown is treated as unsafe. It is a planning aid and not medical advice.

What injury-aware planning does
During setup you can report a limitation in any of four joints. The app then leaves out every exercise that loads that joint. For example, a knee limitation takes out squats, lunges and step-ups, and a wrist limitation takes out push-ups and planks.
If the app does not know how an exercise loads a joint, it treats the exercise as unsafe rather than guessing. Checks also offer a safer option, such as an incline push-up, where one exists.
What it cannot do
Lvl Up cannot know whether training is safe for your body. It does not diagnose or treat anything, and it does not know how bad your injury is. In Pick your focus, if nothing safe exists for a muscle you chose, the app says so, and you may choose to continue at your own risk with a caution to go lighter.
The readiness check can steer you to a lighter day or suggest you speak to a doctor. If you reported an injury or did not pass it, check with a doctor first.
When to stop
Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or other unsafe symptoms. Normal soreness is a dull ache on both sides that eases within a few days. Sharp, sudden or one-sided pain, joint pain or swelling is different: see a qualified professional.
Questions people ask
