Out of the box Tala answers everyday training questions from replies built into the app. Nothing is sent anywhere, and your plan is built by the app alone.
Tala · Your coach
Meet Tala, the coach who asks before she changes anything.
Everyday training answers and small plan tweaks, inside Lvl Up. Tala works from your plan, your injuries and your equipment, and nothing in your plan changes until you say yes.
Ask Tala in the web app How she stays careful
- Off until you turn it on
- You approve every tweak
- General guidance, not medical advice
Example conversation
Shoulder feels tight today. Should I skip push day?
I can’t diagnose that, and if anything hurts, stop. If you want to go lighter, I can suggest a small change. You choose.

How it works
Ask. Check. Approve.
- 01
You ask
Type a question about training. Tala answers from built-in replies on your device, and if she cannot answer, she says so.
- 02
We check
Any change she suggests is a small tweak: a set more or fewer, a swap for a similar movement or a rest change. Our code re-checks each one against your injuries, equipment and weekly limits.
- 03
You approve
Nothing in your plan changes until you approve it, and you can undo it afterwards.
What Tala is
A coach with clear edges.
Tala AI is off until you turn it on, and the app asks you first. Turn it off again any time in Tala or in Profile, Your data. When it is off, nothing is sent.
Tweaks come back as a small, checked list. Nothing changes until you approve it, and every change can be undone.
Tala will not diagnose or treat anything, give food advice, or tell you to train through pain. She can be wrong, so for anything health related, ask a qualified professional.
Transparent by default
What is sent when Tala AI is on.
Each question, your last few messages in that chat and a summary of you and your plan go to our server and then to a third-party AI provider named in the Privacy Policy. The server turns the summary into fixed numbers and labels and drops everything else.
Sent
- Your question, exactly as you wrote it
- The last few messages in that chat
- A fixed summary: goal, injury areas, equipment, schedule and recent training
Never sent
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your account ID
- Your photos
- Your free-text notes
Your message is sent as you wrote it, so keep personal details out of it. We ask the provider not to store the conversation, but it may keep requests for a limited time to prevent abuse under its own terms. We do not use your messages or body measurements to advertise to you or to train models ourselves. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
If something feels wrong, stop and speak to a qualified professional. If you think it is an emergency, contact your local emergency services. If you reported an injury or did not pass the readiness check, check with a doctor first.
