Health and safety
Health and safety.
What Lvl Up does to be careful with your body, and where its limits are.
Lvl Up is not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and is not a medical device.
Before you start
Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have an injury, a health condition or are pregnant. Lvl Up is for people 16 and older.
What the app does to keep you safer
- You can report a shoulder, wrist, knee or lower-back limitation. Exercises that load that joint are removed from your plan, swaps and single-muscle sessions.
- If the app does not know how an exercise loads a joint, it treats it as unsafe.
- A readiness check can steer you to a lighter day. If you reported an injury or did not pass it, check with a doctor first.
- Rest is part of the plan, and Plan B offers a shorter or recovery-aware day.
What it cannot do
- It does not know your full health history, and it cannot see you move. Your answers are only as good as what you give it.
- Its joint-load rules and starting-weight ratios are general and are still awaiting review by a trainer.
- Camera rep counting, where offered, estimates reps and form. It can be wrong.
Tala and AI
Tala may use an AI model to answer questions, only if you turn it on. It can be wrong. It will not diagnose, treat, give food advice or tell you to train through pain.
Stop and get help
Stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness or other unsafe symptoms. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number. You exercise at your own risk and are responsible for choosing loads and movements that are safe for you.
