Accessibility
Accessibility statement.
What works today, what does not yet and how to reach us.
We want Lvl Up to be usable by as many people as possible. This statement says what is supported today and where we know it falls short. It is not a claim of conformance to a standard.
What is supported
- Text size. The app follows your system text size, and Profile, Settings has a text size control.
- Reduced motion and transparency. Both can be turned on in Profile, Settings, and the app also follows your device setting. Non-essential animation stops.
- Screen reader names. In our web checks, every one of 152 visible interactive controls on 11 key screens had a name, and form inputs were labelled.
- Contrast. Foreground colours are checked against WCAG AA contrast in automated tests.
- Alternatives to gestures. Swipe actions have a plain tap alternative, and the rest timer can pause, extend and resume.
- Language. English and Arabic, with right-to-left layout. Arabic has been checked by tests, and has not yet been reviewed by a native speaker or on a physical device.
- This website. Pages use landmarks, one main heading, a skip link, visible keyboard focus, labelled controls and no autoplay. Animation respects your reduced motion setting.
Known gaps
- The app is light only. Dark mode is unfinished and is switched off.
- On the web, the year view of the Progress calendar has day cells smaller than 44 px. The month and day views are the accessible route.
- Screen reader reading order (VoiceOver and TalkBack), the largest text sizes and right-to-left layout have not been checked on real devices.
- Camera rep counting needs a camera and a way to see the screen. You can always type your numbers instead.
